Helm: Shako (socketed with what? ist? ptopaz? um?). Here's what I think would be the best gear: Smiters have hammerdins beat when it comes to the uber bosses, but I consider that a niche build. Crazy hammer damage possibilities coupled with the fact that 99.9% of all monsters have low or no magic immunities coupled with high life/resists make the hammerdin the ultimate build for general PvM such as baaling, rushing, questing, etc. The one build that stands out is the hammerdin. I've made all kinds of builds, meteorb/blizz/hydra/fb sorc, trapsin/kicksin, wind druid, ww barb, zsmiter. I'm talking of course of the PERFECT HAMMERDIN. As my long D2 career comes to a close (Diablo 3 soon I hope!), I have thought long and hard and decided that I want to finish D2 with a bang: the best build the game has ever seen.
